How lists are sorted

City lists put providers with a higher Texas Rising Star level first. Then come those with the fewest High and Medium High deficiencies in two years. Ties go to fewer deficiencies overall, then to the name. Nobody can pay to change this order.

How we report findings

We quote the state's own words for each deficiency, with its date and risk level. We add no comment of our own. A deficiency is not a finding of harm, and we say so on every provider page.

What we never print

We never say a daycare has openings unless the daycare told us, with the date. We never call a registered child care home "licensed". We show no reviews until they can be checked and moderated.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, email contact@daycare-hub.com with the page and the fix. We check it against the state record and correct it on the next rebuild. A provider can also add a reply to a finding.

Money

Today no daycare pays us. If featured listings start, they will sit in a marked box and the advertiser disclosure will say so.
