Help paying for child care in Texas
The Texas Workforce Commission's Child Care Services program gives scholarships to eligible families who work, look for work or go to school. It covers children from birth to age 12, and up to 18 for a child with a disability. You choose any provider that takes part; 5,799 Texas providers did in the latest list.
Apply through the Texas child care scholarships page. A full year of center care for an infant at the state median is about $9,038, or $753 a month.
Subsidy rules are the state's; eligibility depends on income, family size and activity. Apply through the state link; we do not process applications.
