Ways to pay less in Texas
A Child Care Services scholarship pays part of the bill for eligible families. From tax year 2026, a dependent care account through your employer covers up to $7,500 of care before tax. The federal credit is 20% to 50% of up to $3,000 in costs for one child, or $6,000 for two or more (IRS). You cannot count the same costs for both.
