About Daycare Hub

Daycare Hub helps parents compare daycares before they tour. For each provider we show what the state found at its inspections and what full-time care costs in its county.

What this site covers

• A page for every licensed center and licensed or registered child care home in Houston and Austin, with its license number, capacity, ages and two years of inspections.
• Facts for all 12,929 regulated child care operations in Texas.
• County prices for the whole country in the daycare cost calculator.
• A plain guide to the Texas daycare license lookup.

Where the facts come from

License and inspection records come from Texas Health and Human Services. Prices come from the U.S. Department of Labor. Every source is listed on the data sources page.

How we stay independent

No daycare pays us today. No provider can pay to move up a list or to hide a finding. The editorial policy explains how lists are sorted.

Daycare Hub is not part of any state agency, daycare chain or childcare software company.
